USSSA Frozen Rosters

Roster must be on Line year round before the USSSA system will allow teams to enter tourneys.

Starting August 1 which is the Start of the fall season through March 31 of the next year rosters are open. Players only can play on 1 team per weekend. Players are free to move around and play up in age class. Please Note: if you use players from other teams and you win 2 events and are move up in class you will remain there until the end of season. Example AA Team to AAA will remain a AAA until the end of Season.

Players may appear on more the 1 Open Roster.

Starting April 1 any team finishing in the top 25% of an event will have their roster qualified & frozen.  If a team is qualified it will be indicted on the team’s page in the USSSA National site. Roster remains frozen until end of season.

Frozen Roster mean a player is restricted to playing for that team only unless they are released from the frozen roster team. Any player being released cannot return to that team for the remainder of the season.  Team with frozen rosters can add up to 3 players as long as those players are not on another frozen roster.

Players can appear on more than 1 frozen roster if the teams are in deferent age groups. However a player can only play in one event on a weekend.

New this year a team can release as many players as they wish but any qualified roster going below 9 players will be considered disbanded and give up any births they have earned and be required to start over as a new team. They will also be limited to 6 players from the old team.

In The State of Delaware, Maryland ,and Virginia we do not rank players we rank teams. Example player on a AAA can play on a AA team. Please also note if a AA teams using AAA players are moved up to AAA they will remain until the end of season.
